He will speak on Constructions of combinatorial configurations
Abstract:
A combinatorial configuration of points and lines is an incidence geometry with two types with properties that mimic the properties of geometric configurations of points and lines. The study of geometric configurations is a classical topic in geometry, but the combinatorics precede the geometry; to every geometric configuration there is associated a combinatorial configuration. In this talk I will survey a number of constructions of configurations, with a special focus on constructions that use graphs in some way.
